Who's the President?

The other day a volunteer with President Obama's campaign came to the house to speak with our landlord. It sparked a humorous conversation with Jackson.

ABC's

Jackson is picking up new words, songs and activities every day.

For instance, he's added this song to his repertoire.

Bro's

Jackson is warming up to Harrison. When we walked in the door from the hospital Jackson was not pleased.

But a day or so later, Jackson was showing Harrison his toys.

At one point Jackson remarked, "Harrison all gone."

But over the past few days Jackson has pretended to give Harrison kisses and even stroked his back.

This relationship will be fun to watch!

Easter celebration

What a glorious day on Easter. The weather was perfect, it was a relaxing day and Donnie and Bonnie brought us a feast!

For Jackson, the best part was an Easter egg hunt. It was such fun that we did it twice...and he wanted to take a couple of Easter eggs into bed with him!

In just a year or two, Harrison will be running with him.

We feel so blessed for our growing family and all our family & friends who have showered us with love!

Welcoming Harrison Jones Codd

Harrison Jones Codd joined us on Tuesday, April 3 -- one day after Carey's Mom's birthday! (And on the same day as Meredith's Aunt Patty.)

Harrison weighed 8 lbs, 15 ounces -- the same as his brother, Jackson, and was born in the same delivery room as his brother.

Meredith labored through a natural birth -- impressing not only her awed husband but her midwife and doula. She's recovering nicely.

Upon meeting Harrison, big brother Jackson's attitude seemed somewhere between disinterested and dismissive.

By the end of the week, Jackson was heard to say, "Harrison all gone" and also "Hug Harrison."
The transition is a work in progress.

We've been fortunate to have Meredith's mother Cheryl and sister Mallory assisting us. They've been a godsend! Harrison also got introduced to his Aunt Madeline via Skype, his Aunt Susie and his Grandpa Jones and Grandma Bonnie. He also met his Nana (Nancy) and Poppy & Gramsy (Jim & Doe) via Skype.

We are deeply blessed!
