Visit with Nana

Nana is in town for a week-long visit and boy are we having fun! She's reading to me, feeding me and went to the pool at the YMCA with me. We've got lots more stuff planned -- dinner for Mother's Day, lots of walks and playtime.

Mommy Earns her Master's

We crossed the finish line! After four months of interning and attending classes -- and four years of earning her Master's in Education, Meredith walked across the stage at FIU on Monday and got her diploma.

Meredith's mom, sisters, Jackson and Carey cheered her on.

Jackson seems to have an affinity for Mommy's cap. He'll be wearing one soon enough!

Jacks is just having a ball these days. Mere only has one week to go before she receives her master's degree. It's been four long years of work and dedication.

Carey is looking forward to having her home more often.

Meanwhile, Jacks keeps chatting away, cruising around with his walker and exploring his world.

A Few Laughs...

Anniversary Getaway

Mere and I stole away for a quick over-nighter at lavish, luxurious Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables last weekend.

It was our 3rd anniversary.

The pool is massive and stunning. The food is nearly too perfect to eat. The accommodations -- except for an early morning arrival of some noisy wedding partiers -- are relaxing.

We got a huge assist from Mere's sisters who babysat Jacks overnight. Thanks again!
